Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Many services will be experiencing disruption at this time. Please contact them directly for further information.

For guidance on Coronavirus and the latest information on the situation in Devon, visit Devon County Council's Coronavirus (COVID-19) advice page.

Moorvision is a Devon based support group for families of children and young people (aged 0-25) with vision impairment (VI) -including those with other additional needs as well as VI. We offer membership throughout Devon, as well as Cornwall, Dorset and parts of Somerset. We also offer membership to VI parent/carers of children aged 18 and under.

We give families the opportunities to attend activity and social days, learn new skills to help their children, attend specialist residential trips and most importantly for the children to meet each other. We offer information, advice, support and advoacy. During the Covid pandemic we are offering virtual activities, online support groups and family support.

All of our activities are family based and include all siblings. We also have a website, Facebook page and produce two newsletters a year.

We work closely with a number of National VI groups to offer opportunities through them as well.

Devon County Council uses an SEND flag to list services which define themselves as suitable for children and young people with SEND. These are part of Devon's SEND Local Offer. We recommend that you contact the service provider to make sure the service is suitable for your child or young person.
