Probus Club - Newton Abbot and District

Newton Abbot and District Probus Club was founded in 1972 to provide fellowship for retired and semi retired professional and business men in this locality.  Many men find when they retire that they lack local social contacts, as all too often their  business contacts either have not retired or live elsewhere.

Our club is a non-sectarian, non-political club where retired men meet up with other like minded men every fortnight. Each meeting  is addressed by an invited speaker on a variety of widely ranging subjects, followed by a lively discussion before retiring to the bar for some good humoured banter. Our meetings are held at The Corner Flag, which is part of the Devon Football Association's H.Q. in Coach Road, at the edge of Decoy Park, in Newton Abbot, where parking is readily available.

Members also get together with wives and partners for an informal lunch around Christmas and also in the late Spring. Occasional outings to the theatre are organised for those who are interested.
