I am restricting bubble sizes in my car for school runs and only attending 2 schools, I am also not mixing bubbles where ever possible in setting, so depending on times and days you need childcare, I may or may not have spaces. This is to keep all children and my own family at less risk. In the current circumstances.

General information

Hi my name is Angie for short, I'm an Ofsted registered childminder and babysitter in the Torrington, area I also have families in other local areas like Umberleigh, Beaford, Burrington, Dolton etc. I have over 20 years care experience in either childcare or care of the elderly in my youth.

Childminding provides quality childcare in a home from home environment. I  have smaller ratios so they get more attention to help them follow the same EYFS as a nursery but not as busy normally at a time to suit you. They learn through play. We go out, explore and get messy. We do activities that develop their skills.

We gain knowledge about healthy lifestyle choices. We tackle new challenges and experience new things. Most importantly we have fun and feel safe.

I am a hard-working caring childminder and a mum to my daughter and wife to my husband. All children are made to feel welcome in our home.

I am in my 40's and really enjoy my job. I am also involved in Girl Guiding as a Brownie leader.

I attend wherever possible as many toddler groups and activities that support the child to grow. I attend village events and activities like zoos, libraries, parks, local children's groups, and the swimming pool to name just a few. We love nature and being outdoors, and are within walking distance of some local parks and woods. We try to go outdoors daily, weather permitting and with the permission from parents.

I have many qualifications which you are welcome to see when you visit.

I provide a home from home calm setting with a play room with lots of different activities and the children have freedom to choose on free play and we have themes and still learn the EYFS along the way, Working in partnership with parents is a key factor as is working with the other settings they may attend, I also feel its important they feel safe be them a tiny baby here for the day or older and providing wrap around school age childcare if required.
