Blackdown Healthy Living and Activity Centre

The Blackdown Healthy Living and Activity Centre is a charity dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of people of all ages in the Blackdown Hills.

We provide:

  • Day care for the elderly (Cameo Club)
  • A monthly Brightside group for activities and lunch for retired age group
  • A monthly Memory Cafe for anyone affected by memory loss
  • Classes in Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Mindfulness. Art, Keep Fit
  • Therapies including Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Foot care, Alexander Technique, Homeopathy and Massage
  • Beauty Therapy
  • Rooms for hire
  • Space for local artists to exhibit their work
  • Blackdown Stay & Play Hub - a weekly play and activity session for babies and toddlers

General information

Memory cafe held: Second Tuesday of the month: 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Cameo Club (Day care) - provides companionship, activities and a two-course lunch for older residents: Monday and Thursday: 9.30am - 3.00pm.  Transport provided.

Brightside:  First Friday of every month, between 11am and 3pm (transport can be provided at a cost.

Blackdown Stay & Play Hub (for parents, babie, toddlers and pre-schoolers runs every Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm – 3.00pm.
