Freedom Community Alliance (known as Freedom) runs the Freedom Drop-in Centre in Barnstaple, North Devon.

We support people who live in the local area and who may be suffering from poverty, poor mental health, substance mis-use, those who may be homeless or vulnerably housed, have an offending background or have hidden disabilities. We have a range of projects to address these needs which helps to reduce isolation and encourages inclusion into society.

The Freedom Drop-in Centre provides a safe, welcoming, non-judgemental environment where people are accepted no matter what their past or current situation. It is a busy thriving environment seeing anywhere between 40–75 people each day. A small team of project workers and volunteers support clients in a wide range of ways.

Freedom Drop-in provides the following support services for clients:

• General support
• Advice and assistance in accessing accommodation
• Access to other agencies
• Recreation, leisure and social interaction
• Shower and clothes store
• Free hot food and drinks
