The Pad is Eat That Frog's Paignton community hub, helping people of all ages, offering a wide range of activities.
We offer bespoke education for young people aged 16+ with an EHCP - our 1:1 provision has had fabulous outcomes for young people who haven't coped with mainstream school or college, due to anxiety, autism or mental health problems.
We have a variety of training programmes available to people over 19 free of charge. including Mental Health & Wellbeing support, IT skills, Self-Employment programmes, horticulture and cookery.
We also offer Career Academies that help you into work in Construction (CSCS card), Security (SIA), Care, and Hospitality.
We are a great place to get help to access/liaise with other services, establishing social contacts and activities, providing a Lunch Club, which is relaunching now post Covid!
We work with employers and partner organisations to develop sustainable employment opportunities, helping people to develop new skills and gain paid employment. We enable people to unlock or recognise their potential to contribute to the local community whilst overcoming or managing barriers in their life.
We can also help local businesses with the training and people they need to succeed, including apprenticeships!
We know it’s not always easy to eat healthily when you’re on a budget. That’s why we started our new ‘community fridge’ at The Pad – with a little help from some local companies. We act as a hub for Morrison’s, Riverford Delivery and other suppliers, who donate ‘close to expiry-date’ food. We use this to offer a free food service for local people. Anyone is able to access this service – you do not have to be out of work or already on a course with Eat That Frog.
