I helped to care for my mum for three and a half years, until she passed away in 2016. My mum suffered with multiple sclerosis and vascular dementia, so I have experience of dealing with both of these complex conditions. I helped get my mum the help and support she needed to stay living at home as long as possible. I acted as the link between the health and care professionals for my mum which was crucial. When it was no longer possible for her to stay living at home I arranged a place in a nursing home for her and arranged the funding.
I want to use my knowledge and experiences of the health and social care system to help people get the help and support they need and deserve to make their lives easier.
I cover mainly Exeter and East Devon, however if people are happy to receive advice over the telephone, via Skype/Facetime or via email then I cover the whole of Devon. If you are unsure whether I can help you please feel free to give me a call.
