Devon Domestic Abuse Support Service - Splitz

Splitz is an independent charity and leading provider of domestic abuse support services.

Devon Domestic Abuse Support Service run by Splitz is a holistic, outreach service for women, men and their families who have experienced domestic abuse.

Our helpline takes self and agency referrals and is open for enquiries from professionals. Our helpline also offers one off support and advice to anyone who does not want ongoing support.

Our outreach service offers support via phone or one to one by an allocated support worker.

Support includes safety planning, advising on available options, support on separation or staying in a relationship safely, support through the civil and criminal court process, advocacy and emotional support on empowerment, resilience and recovery from abuse. Support is structured, client needs led and medium term.

Support is available for those wishing to change their abusive behaviour via a behaviour change Idva.

Support for children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse or who are in their own abusive relationship. The team will assess if the support is offered via parenting support or in a consultancy role via school.

We accept self and agency referrals. We require a completed referral form and DASH risk assessment. Forms can be obtained on our website or from the helpline.

Depending on the area we sometimes have a waiting list up to one month. Our busiest areas are Teignbridge and Exeter. Our helpdesk offers support calls to anyone on the waiting list.
