Teignmouth Shopmobility

Shopmobility aims to encourage the development of the Shopmobility network everywhere. The majority of Shopmobility schemes are self-funding and are either charities, established by local authorities or managed by their local shopping centre or other commercially based organisations.

The Scheme aims to promote equality of access and to encourage independence of people with disabilities (permanent or temporary), through the provision of mobility equipment such as scooters, wheelchairs and power chairs.

Shopmobility unlocks many access barriers faced by people with a disability, and the rapidly developing network of Schemes throughout the UK, Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland and overseas gives people the confidence to travel, safe in the knowledge that friendly help and assistance will be available at the end of their journey.

Community Transport entries with the “DCC mark”:

All Voluntary Car Schemes with the DCC mark operate with drivers who are DBS checked at the enhanced level.

Community Transport Groups and Associations which operate a Ring & Ride scheme with the DCC mark, meet DCC standard terms and conditions
