Kingsbridge Age Concern is a charitable organisation which promotes the health and wellbeing of senior citizens within the parish of Kingsbridge and its neighbouring parishes. We provide an active social and wellbeing service for anyone over the age of 55 (and the families or carers who support them) offering a range of services, support and community group meetings throughout the month.
We offer drop-in 3-course lunches Monday to Friday and a Saturday morning breakfast club, and deliver weekday meals on wheels across a large geographical location. Saturday breakfast is open to any age group and is a popular venue for our senior citizens who wish to have breakfast with us and their extended family and friends.
We also run regular events such as a May Day celebration, Summer Garden party, and an annual Christmas party catering for up to 30 guests at a time on Christmas Day.
Our other regular services include:
- Music sessions
- Advice and Signposting
- Kingsbridge Memory Cafe (Alzheimer’s Group)
- Devon Sensory Outreach Service
- Quay Quilters Group
- Kingsbridge Dementia Friendly Community
- Next Steps for Living, Dying, Grieving (Counselling and Grief Support)
