Kitchen Companion

Older people, and older men in particular, don't always have the time, experience or confidence to cook for themselves on a regular basis and sometimes it's easier to fall back on a few tried and tested recipes or to rely on ready-prepared meals from the supermarket.

If this sounds a bit like you, “Kitchen Companion” would love to help you prepare the sort of meals that you really enjoy. I can work with you in your own kitchen letting you decide what to cook and I can also offer new ideas and suggestions. I can help you prepare one meal or a number of meals for home freezing. It's entirely up to you.

I am now retired but for many years worked as an NHS manager in South Devon. I am also an experienced cook having previously run a restaurant. I'm passionate about good home cooking and love preparing meals for friends and family.

I prefer to work in a friendly and relaxed way but know the importance of working efficiently and how important it is to be thrifty and tidy.

I have excellent references, am fully insured and have a current DBS certificate.

My charges are £15 per hour.
