Age UK Exeter - Befriending Services

We match suitable volunteers with older people who live alone and would enjoy some extra company and friendship on a regular basis with support from a service co-ordinator to monitor all's going well. A telephone support service is also available where volunteers phone isolated older people who live alone two or three times a week for a chat and to check all is well. Exeter.

These services are most appropriate for older people who do not have complex needs but would enjoy the regular social contact and friendship of a carefully matched volunteer.
