722 (Chivenor) Squadron Air Training Corps
The Air Training Corps is a uniformed national youth organisation which is supported by the Royal Air Force, and 722 (Chivenor) Squadron gives young people the opportunity to experience a whole range of exciting activities and events including powered flying and gliding, adventurous training, camping, hill walking and sports activities.
Most of the uniform is provided free (although there are a few items that must be purchased privately) and all activities are conducted by fully qualified staff and covered by insurance.
Cadets can join from entering school year 8 until their 17th birthday, but can stay on until 20 once enrolled
Adults can apply to become members of staff from their 20th birthday
Some training activities are carried out over a weekend, plus there are a number of residential camps available lasting between 7 and 14 days depending on the camp.
