General information

The Ark at Tresillian is open 50 weeks of the year (closed between Christmas and New year and for a week at Easter). Open from 8am to 6pm. In the preschool room only children can attend term time only for shorter days to fit with school hours. This is to enable children to easily access the Universal Entitlement to Early Years Funding.

Tresillian has a large outdoor area and children play outside every day. Inside the nursery is divided into three age ranges (0 2 year olds, 2 - year olds and 3-4 year olds).

The whole nursery is managed by Tracey Goodman. She is supported by a deputy manager and each of the rooms has a room leader. The nursery is owned by Mrs Paula Stone (BEd and EYPS) and Mrs Harri Sharp (B Eng and DPP). All staff are trained in Food Safety, Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid as part of their induction and this training is updated regularly.

We have an on-site cook who is passionate about healthy eating and eating local food. The Kingsbridge community garden is at the rear of our garden and we are able to grow and harvest food there.
