Sharing Care in Ipplepen or 'SCIP' - support for Ipplepen Health Centre patients

We are a group of volunteers who provide a support service for individuals who are registered patients of Ipplepen Health Centre (even if they do not live in the village itself).

We offer such individuals a befriending service for those who are isolated or at risk of becoming isolated, and other practical help on a more occasional basis. This includes home visits, car transport for certain appointments at the Health centre (arranged through the Health Centre staff)*, sitting or carer relief, light shopping, and delivery of non-urgent medicines dispensed by the Health Centre.

Please note, we do not offer nursing / personal care, nor stay overnight with individuals.

Referral forms are available at the Health Centre, for self-referral or to be completed on behalf of another person. Please contact us if you have other needs, to see if we can help.

*We ask for donations towards the drivers' costs when car transport is provided for appointments (suggested at £3).
