Personal care
Personal care is daily tasks you may need support with, such as bathing, showering, applying creams and lotions, dressing and toileting, all in the comfort of your own home.
These services can be provided by a personal assistant (PA), or you may choose to use a care agency, who will allocate a carer to meet your needs.
A personal assistant (PA) network is provided free of charge by Devon County Council to assist people to find a personal assistant (PA) and for PAs to list their services. PAs do not have to register with the CQC.
Care agencies employ staff to provide care and support to people in their own homes. Care agencies are registered with and monitored by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
If you think a vulnerable adult is being abused in any way, tell someone. You can speak in confidence to one of the Safeguarding Adults teams.
