Registered Childcare - holiday childcare
Here you will find details of holiday childcare. Some are not required to register with Ofsted.
Ofsted registration
Childcare providers need to be registered with Ofsted (unless exempt) and hold valid insurance if they offer to look after children under eight for more than two hours a day, without the parents being present. Ask to see their Ofsted registration and insurance certificates before making any arrangements. There is a link to their Ofsted inspection report at the bottom of each record.
Parents who have a serious concern about a childcare service or activity and are unable to resolve it directly with the provider should contact Ofsted on 0300 123 1231.
Choosing childcare
Guidance on choosing and paying for childcare is available from Devon’s Family Information Service.
Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme
The aim of the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is to support children to eat more healthily, be more active over the school holidays and have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition as well as be more engaged with school and other local services. Find out if your child is eligible.
