Medical and hospital transport

This section contains details of businesses and voluntary groups, who provide transport for people with long term conditions, such as cancer, and the elderly.

Transport is provided to hospital and GP appointments as well as local shops. There are also services to help collect prescriptions.

    Okehampton District Community Car Scheme

    Volunteer drivers use own vehicles to carry those unable to use conventional transport to medical appointments. Social visits like shopping or hairdresser appointments in exchange for a specified mileage charge. 48 hours notice required.  We also have wheelchair accessible transport available.
